Specter M.A.R.C.H/TC3 Basics class
This course focuses on basics of immediate life saving care in a tactical environment utilizing Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TC3) principles.Students will become familiar with the phases of TC3, the MARCH algorithm, casualty movement techniques, modified/limited CASEVAC procedures, taking basic vital signs, and radio reporting in regard to casualty care and evacuation. Instructors. General individual first aid kit (IFAK) contents and their employment will also be covered along with an overview of medical planning considerations.
Learning Objectives
- Understand the general concept of TC3 and its phases.
- Understand and demonstrate patient movement techniques and CASEVAC considerations.
- Understand and demonstrate the MARCH algorithm for basic casualty care.
- Massive hemorrhage

- Hypothermia/Head injury
- Understand and demonstrate taking basic vital signs.
- Blood Pressure
- Heart Rate
- Respiration Rate
- Pulse oximetry (SPO2)
- Temperature
- Understand and demonstrate IFAK loadout according to an established standard operating procedure (SOP).
- Understand and demonstrate modified MEDEVAC/CASEVAC radio reporting.
- Understand and demonstrate medical planning considerations in regard to event/operation.
